NSE was started as a small workshop to cater repair needs of small motors up to 50 H.P. in the year 1986, through constant development and hard work, today company has established as one of the leading service providing industries in repairs / refurbishment of motors up to 5000 H.P. with all in-house facilities. Presently, with a team of 21 experienced technicians, Company is able to cater to the repairsrehabilitation of all types of motors both at their works as well as at site.

Usually we provide PM (preventive maintenance) on site without removing the motor from the foundation & under PM we conclude that motor / alternator require Overhauling or It needs to be Rewound.

The following is the general procedure of preventive maintenance conducted on HT motors, it may vary as per the condition oequipment or client requirement.

HT MOTOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE WORK FLOW

  • Motor will not be removed from foundation throughout the procedure.
  • Removal of all connections, earthlings & covering it for safety & protection.
  • Before starting the job all tools and tackles as required during PM shall be shown to the company official.
  • Motor body / colline fins complete checking, cleaning (Removal of dust, oil, geese etc.).
  • Cleaning & servicing of air cooler ducts/box & repair if required as per the instruction of the party.
  • Motor lead checking and tightening terminal bolts.
  • IR / PI value checking.
  • If everything found normal, no load test will be conducted or additional work will be informed to officials.
  • Bearing noise will be checked and vibration readings will be recorded.
  • If bearing is found damaged it will be replaced after your inspection, bearings will be provided by the company. (If bearing replacement will be carried out procedure for overhauling will be carried out).
  • Special consumables like bearings. Motor spares & greases will be provided by the company.
  • DE & NDE side bearing housing, fan and fan cover will be opened.
  • Old grease will be removed and new greasing will be done.
  • Motor will be re-assembling will be done.
  • Checking of earthing & if necessary rectification of earthing Flat.
  • Motor no load trial testing will be carried out.
  • Test report will be provided furnished with the following details :
    • IR / PI values.
    • High Voltage Test
    • Surge Test
    • Hi-Pot Test
    • TAN δ (DELTA) test if required.
    • Winding resistance test.
    • Inductance test.
    • Vibration analysis.
    • Bearing noise observation.
    • Bearing temperature.

HT MOTOR OVERHAULING WORK FLOW

  • The following procedure will be performed after motor have been transported at our workshop or on site if required.
  • Measurement of IR / PI value.
  • Dismantling of air cooler ducts.
  • Dismantling of HT motor.
  • Dismantling of DE / NDE side bearing housing.
  • Checking / Servicing / Changing of DE / NDE side bearing housing.
  • Removal of the rotor.
  • Rotor bar will be checked.
  • Inspection of bearing condition.
  • If required bearing replacement will be done using Hydraulic Jack.
  • Rotor bearing size will be calibrated.
  • Inspection of the bearings will be made by the company officials if required new bearings will be provided by the company.
  • If required bearing new fitting using bearing induction heater.
  • Greasing of bearings using High temperature SKF original grease.
  • DE / NDE side cover housing bearing size will be calibrated.
  • If bearing housing will be insulated then its insulation value will be checked.
  • RTD and BTD conditions will be checked.
  • Motor winding complete cleaning using petrol and compressed air.
  • Motor slot wedges will be checked.
  • After observing the results of all tests as satisfactory heating the motor in oven & varnishing using Dr. Back F50 insulation varnish.
  • Measuring IR / PI value.
  • Baking the motor in oven at 120 ° temp. For 12 hours.
  • Re-heating and coating stator with Dr. Back Epoxy Gel Coat Red insulating material using spray gun for protecting it from dust, moisture and as a remedy for vibration.
  • Rotor complete cleaning using compressed air and varnishing with Dr. Back Red Oxide.
  • Motor other parts cleaning and painting job.
  • Rotor to be placed in stator and re-assembling as per IP 55 fitting.
  • Replacing of oil seals / sealant, gasket and hardware silica gel as and when necessary.
  • Cooler complete checking and cleaning using compressed air and cooler fitting work.
  • Re-assembling of HT motor.
  • All electrical connections to be done with terminal box and tests to be conducted with no-load trial testing at our workshop.
  • Test report will be provided furnished with the following observations :
    • IR / PI values.
    • High Voltage Test
    • Surge Test
    • Hi-Pot Test
    • TAN δ (DELTA) test if required.
    • Winding resistance test.
    • Inductance test.
    • Vibration analysis.
    • Bearing noise observation.
    • Bearing temperature.
